Volunteer Program
The Humane Hearts Volunteer Program is designed to create a hands-on volunteer experience for individuals and organized groups.
Educate: Through school field trips, this program seeks to provide an opportunity for kids to get out of the classroom and onto the prairie to connect with animals and sanctuary caregivers through hands-on interaction and tactile learning that fits within the school day schedule.
Engage: through our network of vetted sanctuaries and animal care and refuge organizations, volunteers will have the opportunity to give their volunteer support with day-long visits where lunch and other incentivizes are provided to those volunteering their time.
Experience: Sponsored individuals go abroad as a THB volunteer to work with various partner sanctuaries. This special opportunity allows for a broadening of your horizons as you experience another culture while being inspired by other animal welfare programs. Bonus: you become an inspiration yourself by making the trip and showing that adventures like this can be a reality.
