Chris is an accomplished entertainment executive who specializes in producing both animated and live-action motion pictures, books, graphic novels, music, and other media for young adult audiences.


Effortlessly moving between the creative and business worlds, he has made his mark as an executive producer of eight films, illustrator of two graphic novels, and author of a Top 150 Audible Originals book.


Meanwhile, he has championed multiple successful ventures from CEO and COO chairs throughout his career, amassed over $120 million in entertainment capital, and steered teams to best-seller accolades on the New York Times, Amazon, and USA Today.


Today, Chris serves as CEO and Chief Creative Officer of HEROHELIX, an entertainment company rooted in excellence in storytelling and original IP development. Now, bringing together the unique blend of creative "show" and business acumen that has served him so well throughout his career, Chris aims to produce unforgettable entertainment brands for young adults.


The results speak for themselves: under his direction, HEROHELIX has flourished across its core business segments. His strategic skillset led to the procurement of over $100 million for media mergers and acquisitions and was instrumental in green-lighting film and television projects with budgets exceeding $95 million.

Previously, Chris served as COO of TDJ Enterprises, LLP, a $400 Million film, television, publishing, and licensing company based in Dallas.


He was also the Head of Original Anime for Funimation Entertainment where he oversaw the studio’s various film release labels. Over his 6 years with Funimation, Chris managed millions of dollars in motion picture development and production, oversaw the creative development of dozens of films, and served as executive producer of 8 original movies.


Chris is a frequent guest and panelist at entertainment conventions across the nation. He’s headlined at conventions such as Ohayocon, AnimeFest, Ikkicon, Oni-Con, and Anime North Texas, among others.


Chris is a devoted single dad to his two daughters, Evie and Julia, a chummy cat named Sheldon and his best buddy, Bentley, an Australian Shepherd.

They call Dallas home.


Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film.
